WISE IT SRL(RO29931473), based at Duiliu Zamfirescu, Oradea, Romania (“we”), operates the GymTime AI app and this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The short version
- Your training data — sets, plans, machine list — stays on your device by default.
- If you choose Sign in with Apple, we sync your training data so it follows you between devices.
- We do not sell your data. Ever. There is no advertising SDK in the app.
- If you ask the AI assistant a question, that question is sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not store the raw conversation for training.
- You can export or delete everything from Settings → Data.
Data controller
The data controller is WISE IT SRL, registered in Romania (RO29931473), with its registered office at Duiliu Zamfirescu, Oradea, Romania. You can reach us at support@gymtimeai.com.
What we collect
Stored on your device by default:
- Onboarding answers: goal, days per week, gym machines.
- Training plan and your logged sets, weights, reps, notes.
- Preferences: language, units, accent color.
If you sign in with Apple, the above is also synced to our servers, linked to a stable user ID provided by Apple. We do not see your name or email unless you choose to share them.
Operational data we collect by default: anonymized crash reports, basic usage events (e.g. “plan generated”, “set logged”) to improve the product, App Store subscription status from RevenueCat, and the device's App Store country.
Chat with the AI assistant: when you send a message, the message and a short context window of your plan and recent sets are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. Replies are returned to your device.
Why we collect it (legal bases)
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the planning, logging, and AI features you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — for crash reporting, basic analytics, and fraud prevention. We keep this data minimized and pseudonymized.
- Consent — for optional analytics or marketing communications, where we ask you up front.
- Legal obligation — for tax, invoicing, and responding to lawful requests.
How long we keep it
- On-device data: until you delete the app or wipe it from Settings → Data.
- Synced training data: while your account is active, then 90 days after deletion, then purged.
- Crash and event logs: 90 days.
- Billing records: as required by Romanian tax law (typically 10 years).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct it, delete it, port it to another service, restrict how we process it, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these, email support@gymtimeai.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal) — see dataprotection.ro.
Children
GymTime AI is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest in our processors is encrypted by the provider (AES-256 or equivalent). No system is perfect — if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware, consistent with GDPR Art. 33.
Changes
We will update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
